'Romer the Recycling Suirrel' was a bi-monthly strip that began in the late 1980s in the City of Orlando's publication 'City Hallways'. The strip was a vehicle to get recycling infomation to City staff. As time went on and the City strayed from recycling, the strip became a bit more about staff and office humor. Though, Rob (a recycling nut himself) would slip in recyclig info whenever he could.

The strip was in black and white in the black and white publication. Along the way it went two-color and so did the strip. In it's last years it went color as did the strip. As is not unusual, though it was easier to add color and didn't cost all that much more, it still cost alot more than it had. The magazine was struck from the City's budget around 2003.
